You know there was a time before competitive gaming took off. In those times people who were buying the game were simply buying them to be a one-time payment. So these early gamers were paying once for the game and then playing the game forever. But now after the boom of competitive gaming and the size of how it compounded over the years. All of the game developers are trying to milk every penny from their respective game’s players. The size of the gaming industry has crossed the size combining every sporting event + Hollywood plus the whole music industry of the world And with that size, everybody is trying to mooch on the pie. the pie of players who wanna spend their money on games is so huge that every big AAA developer is making the game more and more dependent on microtransactions by giving the players slight and subtle advantages in buying paid cosmetics.

On the other hand, some companies make their game free to play and then implement paid cosmetics that do not affect or interfere with the core gameplay. Like selling battle passes or giving seasonal updates. Selling battle passes and paid cosmetics is now a norm for any big competitive game and you will not find any competitive PvP game that is popular and does not have these types of micro-transactions. But unlike the first half of the gaming industry, this half does not bother most of the players because the skins or the in-game cosmetics that these companies sell don’t affect the experience of other players. Now that we established what is a fair practice and what isn’t let’s move on to the main topic of the blog.

So in this blog, we will discuss the quarterly seasonal update of Apex Legends Because this is a seasonal update there’s a lot of content in it so let’s begin

New legend “CONDUIT”:

So unlike season 18 when they didn’t release a new legend in season 19 Apex Legends is introducing a whole new legend to the game named “Conduit”. Her real name is Rowenna Valentina Coffey and she is a support legend. So what she can do you might ask therefore here are her abilities:

Tactical “Radiant Transfer”:

So what her tactical does is it sends a surge of energy to your friend and yourself, temporarily regenerating shields when in danger. Now the tactical has three subtle phases which I am not going to talk about in this blog because it’s an overview of the whole season and not just about conduit.

Passive “Savior’s Speed”:

Rowenna’s passive is pretty simple and that is she will run faster toward her allies who are out of her tactical range which is 50 meters.

Ultimate “Energy Barricade”:

The ultimate of conduit is it deploys 7 batteries which after reaching the ground will give damage to the enemies and also slow them down. The batteries will land in front of her and on the left and right sides of her. The batteries need to be in direct line of sight to the enemies to inflict damage or to cause them to slow down. So it will not work on opponents in the building and the enemies in cover.

Map Rotation:

Like every season this season’s rotation would look like this

1. Broken Moon
2. Olympus
3. Storm Point

They also added new locations and worked on the storm point map but I am not going to talk about them because like I said before this blog is the overview of the season.

New Anti Cheat Feature:

So like every other competitive game, apex also has issues with its anti-cheat. Now they did work a few weeks ago to ban more cheaters and be more precise about it but we live in an imperfect world. In this season they have added an in-game ban notification. So if a player gets caught cheating you would get a notification in the kill feed. I know that this changes nothing but Respawn is giving attention to Apex after all and not neglecting it, unlike some other competitive games.

If you have ever played Apex Legends you know how hard it is to win the match especially when the skill-based matchmaking is not good when it comes to matching the player with a similar skill set. That is why most players get stuck in a rank that grows but can’t rank up because of this Unbalanced matchmaking but if you want to rank up quickly and get the rank that your skill set truly shines then you should get boosted in Apex. It is the fastest and the guaranteed way to rank up.

Ranked Promotional Trials:

The next big thing that respawns introduced is a state when players reach their tier’s peak. So what this means is after you reach your rank peak you’ll be placed in a trial where either you win a game to get the promotion to the next or you complete an alternative condition to get the promotion and in this trial, your lp gains and losses will be frozen so you can be completely focused on completing the trials. Every rank has distinct conditions according to the rank the higher the rank the more challenging the conditions will be.
